Good Afternoon,

Please help.  I have just installed my DNN web site to my dedicated live host machine and my web services have stopped working the particular line in the web.config file which seems to be causing the issue is below:

codeSubDirectories
     add directoryName="HTML"
codeSubDirectories

My web services are running in virtual directories under the root directory.  The DNN site is installed in the root.  Obviously the web.config entry above is overwriting the default machine.config file.  The error message I am getting is  cannot find MyWebService/HTML/...  The dll files for my .NET web services are located in the /bin subdirectory.

If I rename the web.config file in DNN site my web services start working again but the web site stops.  It is probably just that I need to create seperate web.config files for my web services but does anyone know what the default settings are which will allow both my DNN web site to run and the web services.

Thanks in advance.

Do your web services have their own config files? Are they located in actual directories below the web directory?

If so, your web services config files may have to undefine some of the items defined in the DotNetNuke web.config.
