Hi;
I would like to use the Report module to overcome a shortcoming in the article module from ZDNN. Commenting does not support that the user can specifiy a URL like it is very often done in blogs.

My workaround is to use Dynamic Forms for users to enter their comments and store this in my own table. The idea then was using the report module to display the comments for the article. I could easily format that nicely with the XLS Visualizer, unfortunately when there is no comment it displays the message "The report query returned no results", which does not look good.

Do you know if this can be hidden or can you recommend another module that can do the job?

Thanks
Thomas

I actually found out the message is only displayed for the host user, which is good, but I have another problem now, as I need to pass a querystring value to the SQL that I want to run and to my knowledge I cannot do this with the report module. So if anyone knows a module that I could use instead please reply to this post.

Thanks

I've recently discovered SQL Grid Selected View (SGSV) from Tressleworks.ca.  It's not free, but it is so inexpensive that you can consider it free.  It provides all sorts of options for reporting results from database tables.  It can take query string variable and session variable as inputs.

There is also a free version that you can use for evaluation - an older version of the module.  I recommend spending the few dollars and going to the current version.
