Hi guys,

Following the DNNC instructions in issue#22, I was able to move my website (5.2.3) up to my live server.  Pretty straightforward and everything seemed to work fine.  As expected, I had some problems with broken links to images due to the localhost portion of the URL.

I logged into my live site and opened up my HTML module to edit the code so the images would display.  However for some reason, any edits I make in the HTML module (text, URL, etc.) aren't saved when I save the module - they revert back to the original.

I'm running "Direct Publish" in all the HTML modules. The version history also shows that changes were published.

The only way, I've been able to fix this issue is by saving all the data, deleted the HTML module, re-adding the module, then pasting back in the revised code to populate the content.

Seems like I can make other changes to the site (settings, adding pages, etc.).  I'm just having issues with the HTML module.

I'd hate to have to re-add all the HTML modules.  Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Thanks,
~Chris

Your site may be caching, or IE/browser may be caching.

Try using IE developer toolbar to clear the cache for the site then refresh the page.
Also try going to Host>Host Settings> Advanced > Performance Settings
-> Cache SettingsTemporarily set to none and click on "clear cache" link
-> Authenticated Cacheability > Temporarily set to "Server and No Cache" until updates are made

Hope this helps!

Check to make sure that you adjusted your portalalias table to point to the live site. It's possible (as in ... I've done it!) that you are redirecting back to the local site and that is where your changes reside. Check that site, too.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies.   All seems to be working fine now.

I had previously cleared the browser cache, but didn't think to clear the DNN cache.  Think that did it.
