I need some help understanding dnn and ssl. I host 8 dnn sites. 7 of the sites are under one domain (various dnn versions all 4.5 or later), i.e. https://domainname1/companyname where company name is the individual organizations name. The site uses ssl installed in IIS on the default ssl port of 443. Site 8 is a different domain (dnn 4.8.0) , i.e http://www.domainname2.com and all I need to secure on this site is the shopping cart / credit card processing. The ssl certificate for this site is one an alternate ssl port (444 for example) When I use the ssl features in dnn to secure the pages necessary on domainaname2, the browser objects with a messgae regarding the certificate is for a different domain. Upon closer inspection the site is trying to use the domainname1 certificate. If I change the domainname2 site to use ssl on the default port then I can easily secure teh pages in question but my other 7 sites get the error regarding the wrong domain. Is there a way to get DNN to use ssl on an alternate port? DO I need to reconfigure the way mysites are setup in order to get my desired results?
