I have removed the Register and Login controls from the default page. I still have the Edit and View buttons visible at top of page. Is there any way to remove or hide them from default users. This will be used on a public accessible web site in which we do not wish to display any login or register artifacts.

Can you post a screeshot of what you are refering to more precisely ?

Thanks. I personnaly removed the register link from my pages. For this I went into my template skin file and removed the register tag. The skin file was to be found in "portals/_default/Skins/YourSkin/YourSkinFile". Tags are < dnn:user > and < dnn:login >.

I was able to remove the register in admin settings and I had already gone into the skins file and made the change you suggested. After that I was left with the View and Edit button as displayed in the attached PDF file

o.O ... weird.

This should only display if you are logged on as admin or host.

Most likely, the View and Edit buttons are there because either the page or a module on it has edit permissions for other than Administrators. Check all of the permissions.

Joseph - you are right on the money. I missed a security setting on the page. Thanks
