Hi Lee,

First thanks for ur support. Excellent site, excellent stuff, excellent support.

I have got few child portals on my main web site.

So when you move to different pages, u can see the URL at the top like this:
http://www.classicitsolutions.com/transport/Opportunities/tabid/113/Default.aspx?Module482_SelectById=484

Is there any way we can hide this and it should just display ( www.classicitsolutions.com/transport) only.

Also Lee, Im making website for one of the company. They are ready to provide me the Server for this.

I just want  to ask what all needs to be installed on that Web Server to have this Dotnetnuke website up and running.

So just want to know technical specifications for the server to host dotnet nuke applications.

Regards

Hello,

Thanks!

For info on URLs and changing the formatting this info is contained in the documents that come with dotnetnuke. - Go to the DotNetNuke Friendly URLs doc - page 9/10 and you will see the various options that are available.

Your server spec completely depends on which version of DNN you are using and which version of ASP.NET / SQL server you are using. I would refer to the installation guide docs that come with dotnetnuke as they specify the elements that you require.

Another source will be to enquire in the asp.net forums for server specs as there are many people out there who have successfully set up DNN on their own private servers. http://forums.asp.net/90/ShowForum.aspx

Thanks,

I've been looking around the forum and the closest thing I could find was:

Dedicated Server DNN Success Stories

http://forums.asp.net/1101528/ShowPost.aspx

You could follow these posts through and research the spec of the servers.

I would suggest posting a question in the asp.net forum as there will be many people who can provide advice.

Let me know how you get on,
