Ever since I upgraded to 5.0.1, I have a problem with my action menus (the little drop down menus that appear to the left of the name of the module).

They show up when I log in as an admin.  But not when I login as a host.  When I'm logged in as host, I don't get the little icon to hover over to the left of the module name.  So I'm not sure what's different between the 2 accounts.  It appears to be an issue across my portals, working the same way in the two sites I have set up.

But I really need the menus when I log in as a host so I can update and add modules.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that Host has the correct permissions. Do you see the Admin and Host menus when you are logged in? Do you see the control panel?

And, are you using a custome skin or container?

Joe,

Thanks for your reply!

How can I check the permissions of the host? I do see the menus, and I can go to any page on the admin or host menus. When I go to the page, there's no action menu. If I log on as ADMIN, I can see the admin menus and when I go to one of those pages, I get the action menu (so on the same page, e.g. site settings, I see the drop down when logged in as ADMIN, but not when I am logged in as HOST).

I am using custom skins, but if I switch to a standard one, I still have the same issue.

Any ideas?

If you are seeing host menus, then at least part is working.

I would check over in the DotNetNuke forums to see if something like this has been reported.

Check in the control panel when logged in as the host account.

At the top left of the control panel - Check the view / edit / layout radio buttons

select edit
