Hi,
I've followed the upgrade procedures to upgrade from 3.3.7 to 4.8.4 and received the status report below... just one error with 4.4.0
I've looked in the SqlDataProvider folder and the text log file has no info in it.
Is it okay to ignore this error as my site seems to be functioning as normal?
Many thanks for the great tutorials and suppport btw...
Cheers

If everything "seems" to working normally, perhaps you can ignore it. It is possible that the other upgrades fixed the error. But ... I'd still be nervous. Is that log file completely empty?

Hopefully you kept copies of your database and web directory as they were prior to the conversion. If you did, you could install it on a local machine and test the upgrades. You might want to try upgrading to 04.04.00 to see if you can identify the error ...

Hi, yes everything seems to be working fine. I get the following when viewing through Host Settings/ 04.04.00

"The log file is empty for the script version specified. This generally indicates that the script ran successfully."

Do you know where I can find dotnetnuke 04.04.00 installation files to download and try again?
Thanks...

I think I saw the answer to your last question on another thread real recently. If you go to the 'Legacy Downloads' section on the DotNetNuke Downloads page, it will provide a link to a downloads page on SourceForge. The URL is http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dnn. I just ran down the list and it appears they have 4.04 Installer (along with some other files. Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Hi, Thanks for the info, I've looked for dotnetnuke 4.04.00 Install package on SourceForge and carn't see it or any other previous versions... is there any other places to look?
Has anyone come across this error before when upgrading? After googling the error some people have suggested this particular error can be ignored but I don't want to run into problems in the future... (4.4.0 was an early Performance Release)
Thanks alot...

Okay, just to let you know...
I've checked /providers/dataproviders/sqldataproviders for log files > 2byte and the 04.04.00.log
The 04.04.00.log contains 'Error: HelpURL'
One of the dotnetnuke project team has told me its safe to ignore this particular issue.
So I'll move on now...
Cheers!

You probably didn't click the first link on the page. That will take you to this page:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=77052&package_id=77939

You'll find every version of DotNetNuke there!
