Hello from a DNN Newbie

I've created a website, complete with the DNN 4.8.3 NAV menu control. On my localhost installation and on my free hosting portal, where I uploaded it for testing, the menu shows ok, whether I'm logged in or not.

But the menu is not showing on my current hosting portal. I've contacted the host but he's not been able to figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Judi,

Proabably a bit more information is needed. One guess would be to ask if you host has AJAX installed. Otherwise (and I realize it's hard to navigate around without the menu) does your site seem to be running?

Thanks for replying, Joe.

My host does have AJAX installed and the site is running ok.

To make myself clearer:

On my localhost installation and on http://www.dnn-portals.co.uk/bridgmanridge/home/tabid/1140/Default.aspx the menu items display properly whether I'm logged out or not.

On http://test.pokerdiy .com/bridgman (remove space before .com) the menu bar is showing (I tested this by changing its colour) but the menu items are not displaying when I'm logged out. When I log in, everything displays correctly.

Do you know why this may be happening?

Many thanks

Judi

Hello,

Are the installs exactly the same? - Are you running the same version of DNN on both hosting providers?

I noticed on http://test.pokerdiy .com/bridgman for instance the snapsis page blaster is enabled.

If you use the web developer toolbar to view the CSS produced by those 2 sites, they are calling up different css as well, this maybe from the snapsis pageblaster, but will be worth analyzing a litttle closer to see what is happening.

Thanks,

Thank you very much, Lee.

You are right, it was an old version of page blaster causing the problem. My host has now disabled it.

Sorry for the red herring, thanks again for looking into it.

Cheers
Judi
