Hi,
every body.I want to learn dotnetnuke. I am new in this technology.Currently i am working in .Net only.
I want to build a page in dotnetnuke.How can I do this. what should i do so that i can build and run one page in dotnet nuke.

Thank you for your well guidance.

As a beginner For testing purpose i created a new website using dotnet nuke.Then pressed ctrl+F5 for running the application, before this i just gave my database access path in web.config file.At run time its showing some "Run Database Installation Scripts" and it keeps on going for a long time duration.i waited for 1 hour for completion of that database script, but it did n't finish.i don't know why that wizard is coming and how much time it takes for completion.Plz Help.........

I find it MUCH easier to set up and operate a basic website outside of Visual Studio. Use IIS, and point the website at your web directory and then browse to it.

I believe that the issue you describe is related to AJAX ... and possibly AJAX isn't done properly through VS. You might want to make sure that AJAX is installed on your computer.

I did n't  get your instruction regading how to setup and  operate a basic website without using visual studio.Can you make it more clear.

Also i need  to upload/deploy my project in server.I built a simple website in dotnet nuke using visual studio editor. Usally in  .net we used to publish the site and upload the published files in server.But here i tried same thing after publish the dotnet nuke website.But nothing is coming up.Please help on this.........i want to put my project in server.

I was checking with host login in dotnet nuke website.Under host menu>>module definition, i want to add some new modules as well as new skins for my website.please suggest where can i get these things.Is there any source whcih i can use??????? Thanks

Sorry, i checked those free skins link that you have mentioned but i did n't get an option to down load the skins or modules. its showing the text which tells to down load but exactly there is no link to down load  instead its redirecting to new page.... Plz help on this.


Also how can i built my own skins and modules in dotnet nuke.I searched through the site but i did n't get any video clips for this.Plz help on this.I have gone through one clip which tells we can add our own custom built skin or modules.Plz suggest how can i built custom defined skins and modules to apply in my project.Thanks....
