Lee:
I love the site and love the tutorials.  I showed one of your tutorials to our training coordinator (not web or DNN training) and she said "YES--that's what we need?  How did he do it?"

Obviously, I couldn't answer that question and wonder if you use something like Flash Demo Builder or a similar tool to build your items or use Flash directly?  These are very useful and I'm always referring to them.

Thanks for creating them.
BTW, I miss the MP3 interviews--I have a very long commute to work and I tend to listen to them over and over!

Not to jump the gun on Lee, but it looks like he's using Adobe Captivate. Fantastic program, but problem is that it only does Flash output (yeah, I know, and MS Word too ). The other one that is highly recommended is Camtasia from TechSmith.com. For just pure video play and onscreen custom items like graphics, etc., both are good. For eLearning (like branching, etc.), Captivate is better. For multipe options, Camtasia is better.

Lee, on a side note, I've been watching your videos. Thank you for these quality tutortials, I know know how someone could really understand DNN and it's details without a mentor or your videos. The help that comes with DNN is really wanting and you filled the gap.

Hello,

Glad to hear you find the tutorials useful, yes the programme I use is Captivate. - it's a good program.

The one tip I can give you however is that you need to record your videos in short blocks, so that each video is approximately hundred slides maximum, and then you paste together the different video blocks to make a complete video.

I'm thinking of re-introducing the mp3 interviews, just need to get this new site skin complete and on top of the backlog first.

Thanks,

I have used the captivate program, but found Camtasia Studio software that I find it allot better than Captivate.
