Hello,

We recently launched our company website. It was my first experience with DNN and it saved us a LOT of time.  Cheers to the Lee for providing all the great instructional videos.

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Mark,

I see you have enabled the resizing for your headers; you could also do this for the main text too.
How to create resizable text

When viewing your site in Firefox 2, this page:
http://www.nstrument.net/Products/SnmpLibrary/tabid/70/Default.aspx
resizes and the link to the home page appears outside the blue menu bar.

With the search box; do you want your customers to be able to search the web or just your site? If you want to remove the radio buttons, download the Andreas 01 skin and you can find the code there for removing the buttons in the skin.xml file.

The text on the purchase page http://www.nstrument.net/Purchase/tabid/56/Default.aspx differs from that of all the other pages. You should allow the styling to come from the skin.css file. The content of the Text/HTML module comes under the .Normal class: Bad Practices when working with the Text / HTML module

And finally, you could try using CSS shorthand to reduce the size of your skin.css file which could help improve the performance: Reducing the DotNetNuke CSS file sizes

Hope this has been useful to you.

Rich

Rich,

Thank you for your excellent suggestions.  Especially for catching the rogue styling on the purchase page that over-rode the css font size (probably from pasting from word), and the menu text overflow on the Snmp Library page with Firefox (still working on that one...).  Also, I like the search control much better without the radio buttons...

Cheers,
-Mark
