Hi,

Just something I can't figure out regards the horizontal menu (House of Nuke).  There are several horizontal buttons, as in Lee's tutorial and I want to have a 1px vertical border (RH and LH) for each button.
I've been playing around in the Firefox browser using the CSS edit function and if I add a border to both left and right (vertical) I get a 2px border width between the buttons, if I apply a border to the right side only, it looks correct where the buttons meet but of course the first button (left hand side of the page) has no border on the left side of the button.
I hope that makes sense!!

Thanks
Pete

Hello,

Yes there are several methods you can use:

Create a RH one pixel border for each menu item, identify the ID for the first menu item and create a class that just adds a left-hand border for the first menu item.

Or, it may be possible to add the border for the first menu item using the container that surrounds the menu, but this depends a lot on the design. First option is probably easiest

Thanks for that Lee, I'm just not sure how to identify that button in DNN. Could you point me in the right direction please?

To find the id of the menu item, use the web developers toolbar for Firefox, go to information menu / display id and class details.

There is a tutorial on the techniques I use for this here:
