In my dnn(4.7) local website i have set all pages and module to be accessed without using the dnn login.

All the dynamic pages could be accessed using login data that matches with my database and entire dynamic flow works perfectly.

But dnn forum module that i have used could only be viewed through my login.viz.it does not allow me to reply to existing post or create a new thread.(only thru dnn login, dnn forum module allows me to reply to existing post and create new threads)

Is there any way that i could connect dnn forum module registration set up(viz. forum admin set up) with my database registration setup.

You can configure the forum module to permit "All Users" and "Unauthenticated Users" to post messages. Is that what you mean?

Hi Joe,
COuld you please ellaborate a bit?

I've gone throwgh all the admin options of the module forum (version 04.04.03) and could not find a way to enable unauthenticated users to post a reply or create new threads....

Would you pplease tell me how to do this? What am I missing?

Thanks, Adrián

I can't see a way to enable un-authenticated users access to post in the forum. I can only see options for enabling the various security roles permission to post in the forum.

Do you have any tips Joe? I'm not sure if this feature has been disabled in the latest version of the forum. Thanks,

No, I haven't seen a way.

I'm pretty sure that ActiveForums permits unauthenticated posting.  And, last week ActiveForums announced some very inexpensive licenses for the module.

Thank you both (Joe and Lee) for your answers... I'm a bit surprized, thoug (about DNN Forum being so strict...), don't you agree?

Cheers,

They have probably done it for security. - Active Forums Lite will be worth having a look at.
