Hi,
I am developing a web site and i am having a problem with the alignment of modules.

For example, i have been trying the adsense module and i have inserted it in the top panel and set the alignment to centre.
In EDIT mode it looks perfect, but when i switch to VIEW mode the module aligns itself to the left hand side.

I have tried the other alignment options (left and right), but the module still aligns itself to the left.

You can see the problem for yourself at http://www.reason3tutorial.com

Does anybody have any idea what is causing this?

I am using a skin that i purchased off snowcovered, so it maybe the skin, i am not to sure.

Cheers,
Matt.

I looked at your page using the Web Developer's Toolbar. I used it to remove ALL css and your left pane didn't change at all. That leads me to think that the formatting is inside of the module. Look at the text in source mode to see if you've got text aligned to the left in there.

Thanks for the reply.

I cannot view the text, as it is google adsense and i am unable to view the contents of the module.
I just enter my google adsense ID number into the module and it does the rest.

What is the web developers toolbar?

Matt.

Just to let you know.
I have sorted the problem by simply using a container.
I thought that it shouldn't matter if i displayed the container or not, but it looks like it does.

Cheers for the help.

I assume that you mean that you changed the container.  If you don't specify one, the module will use a default container.  Because the container formats its content, changing the container can certainly change the appearance of the  contained module.

You can learn about the Web Developer's Toolbar in the Troubleshooting DotNetNuke Skins tutorial.

Interesting site Matt - I also come from a music composition background - I was going to set up a Logic Audio video tutorial site for PC - before Mac bought it and stopped my plans, this was quite a few years ago when I taught clients how to use Logic etc. and I came up with the brainwave of why not create video tutorials for the students - this was before videos were even made for logic or available online! - Good luck with the site.

Cheers, Lee
