I have been developing a CSS skin and have got to the point where i have one validation error. The message is as follows: Error Line 33, Column 38: there is no attribute "width".
The width attribute has been added by DNN when the skin is parsed. Does anyone know how to prevent this?

It could be coming from one of the modules that you have on the page, to start with try removing all of the modules and see if you still have the same problem.

Is this still does not work, do you have a URL for us to look at?

Hi Lee,

I feel priviledged to have the master himself answer my question

Unfortunatly i do not have an external URL to point you at.  Its running on a test server at the moment.  However, i do have a link to static page design.  If you take everything within the body tags, this is the code that is used for the DNN skin.

http://www.dcwebspace.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Home.htm

The css for the page can also be found here:

http://www.dcwebspace.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Skin.css

Its worth mentioning that the above page is valid (except the UTF Byte Mark warning).  Like i said, it is only when DNN parses the skin that the problem occurs.

I checked the site and I have no modules on the page at this point.  I wanted to get the skin valid before i started to validate the modules as well.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Ok, if there is no content on the DNN page, it must be coming from the core. - Have you double checked the code in the default.aspx file to see if all elements have been removed?

Hi Lee,

I've worked out that without a module in the content pane, DNN adds the "width: 0" into the div.  If i add a module into the content pane, this disapears and all is OK.  Thanks for your help.
