Hi,

I'm a newbie, I have been working on the series of 8 skinning tutorials for the Vortex Music project using tables and CSS.

I have followed the tutorials accurately.  Unlike as is presented in the tutorial, after making the correct changes to the htm skin layout and applying the styles, my tokens, including Calender, BreadCrumbs, Login, Search all are in a dark navy color, not the white as is presented in the tutorial - any reason why this might of happened?

Sincerely,
Altein

I recommend that you download the code files from that tutorial and use them on your test site. Do those files work correctly. If they do, that will at least confirm that the techniques work. If so, you've probably missed a step in your replication of the skin.

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for answering my question.  I went through the tutorial again and I don't think I missed anything.  The solution that worked is that I put a links module of the left side of the page, underneath the House Menu, and it stretched out the menu gradient to the full width of the color as evident cell (this being evident by the black border that I had set on the heightest level table).  Having the LInks module under the menu stretched the gradient to the full width of the left pane and the menu appeared as intended.

Thanks again,
Altein
