After a year and 3 disk corruptions with Vista I am in the process of "Upgrading back to Windows XP Pro."  In the future I may make a post on the details of why later.

Needless to say during that year I did many DNN install on Vista and had forgotten the differences in installing on XP Pro.  I went back to your video and several of the got-yah's were covered.

Two comments:
  • Please try to have the Issue number on all descriptions of what is covered. I giigle searched and got a page on your sit with no issue number only a date. I them had to click thru issue by issue to get to the right on, so that I could view the right saved copy on my system.
  • In the video you recommended the "Advanced" SQL Server 2005 kit. Yet again I descoved that I, and maybe others, really need the "Toolkit" version. I need this because it contains the DTS tools that allow a user to transfer data from excel, access, flat files, etc. to SQL Server 2005. I rely on the DTS wizard to do this to update some data on my application.  BTW other might find this a useful tool.
However, dispite these minor problems, DNN Creative saved my but and a lot of time again.

Thanks,

Hi Dave,

All tutorials show which issue they came from. If you go to the main tutorial page and in the beginners section you will see:
How to install DotNetNuke 4.5 to Windows XP Pro with IIS

on that page you will see the issue number for the tutorial below the image.

Thanks,
