It appears that the FCKeditor is now a full fledged DNN project (see info below), and that the best place to learn about it, and to download the provider, is to go to http://dotnetnuke.com/DotNetNukeProjects/ProviderFCKeditor0153/tabid/934/EntryID/511/Default.aspx

Note that FCKeditor 2.3 provider is included.

n.b., given the AJAX touches in the core module, it's a good idea to let users pick which editor they like better.  Some of my clients prefer the simplicity of the core text/html module, while others appreciate the functionality and versatility of the FCKeditor (ok, I'll put in my vote for changing the name ;)

In all events, thanks to both Mauricio and Lee Sykes for their fine work to help us use this great html provider.

Thanks for your patience. Now you can download the new provider from the project page.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DotNetNukeProjects/ProviderFCKeditor0153/Downloads/tabid/936/Default.aspx

Please take note that this is not an upgrade. This is a new provider and could be installed without touching the old version from dnn.tiendaboliviana.com. It uses a new folder name and a new provider name entry.

Well, a new provider but working identically to the old one. Why? the answer is simple, this is now a new project and uses the DNN branding and this project is going to stay here for long time

I want to thank all people who had to answer all my recurrent requests. Now I will start to build a development team, so stay tunned.

How to install?

You must unzip the downloaded file and you will find a install.txt file in there. Follow the instructions step by step

What is new

  • A lot of fixes with the image and flash gallery
  • Fixed the custom CSS and XML file
  • Added support for Medium trust
  • Uses the new FCKeditor 2.3 (Really enhanced)
  • Includes more options to customize font names, font sizes, font formats and font styles
  • Other pending fixes

The new Gemini space will be created as well and you will be able to report bugs and suggestions there

Please use the forums to post comments and request help

Enjoy
