Hi all,

We've recently put out a new tutorial that explains how you can create a search engine for your DotNetNuke site using our Zoom Search Engine package:
http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/support/tutorial_dnn.html

This was due to popular demand from some of our users who have been looking for a replacement to the DNN Search module. It seems that many users are disappointed with the performance of the built-in search functionalities of DNN and have found that Zoom provided more effective results.

Zoom is a software package that allows you to create a search engine for any websites, CD-ROMs or Intranet. This tutorial explains how to use Zoom to create a custom search engine for your DNN site.

Zoom offers many benefits over other search solutions including:
- Much more relevant and accurate search results than the built-in DNN Search module
- No advertising and no annual fees
- Highly configurable
- Easy to use and configure
- Search word statistics and reports
- Free for small sites of up to 50 pages, commercial editions start at $49 (one-off purchase, no annual fees)
- Commercial editions also support indexing PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, and many more file formats such as JPEG and MP3.

We hope this is of interest to other DNN users out there. Let us know if you have questions!

Regards,
Wrensoft

I did, of course, mean "search engine" as opposed to "esarch engine" in the Subject title. Would appreciate it if the admins could correct that typo in this thread. Thank you.
