Now wait for it.  But, I personally have a complaint about the fact that you had to make this video in the first place. With the pending release of 4.5 looming, I believe that all the core team should be required to watch this video and apply your suggestions to the source; otherwise, we will all be making these changes again with every update.

If the code is moving to be ASP.NET 2 based, shouldn't the HTML follow the same route and be compliant?

Hello,

Glad to hear you have found the tutorial useful, the core team are working on XHTML compliance, but progress will be slow. Their main concern is for backwards compatibility and to ensure that any small changes will not break users portals.  So they will be keen to extensively test any of these changes to ensure backwards compatibility.

Things are starting to progress however with new features such as the Doc Type function.
