Hey team,

just been going through your css videos (loving em) and a i created my own entire css skin, simple 3 pane affair, with footer and header panes.

one major issue is that when i add a dnn blog module, the module somehow breaks the skin, as "everything" under the pane that contains the blog module is now "inside" that pane (contentpane) - this includes the right, left and footer pane.

any ideas??

Rajeev

Hello,

Glad to hear you are enoying the tutorials. I've just had a look at the Blog module in the 3pane red leaf skin.

Yes, it just inserts each of the modules into the content pane. - This is because for instance we no longer have a right pane - as you do in the default DNN-Blue skin.

You can just re-position some of the modules into the left pane. - Just go to the module settings menu and select the pane you wish the module to display in.

If you wish to display items in the left and right panes just like the DNN-Blue skin, then I would look at the 5 pane version of the simple red leaf skin. - You could just install the 5 pane version on your blog module page. - This will allow you to place the blog modules in the left, content and right panes as you see fit.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Lee

yeah, i only tested the 5 pane skin and it was still broken..(talking about panes within panes that were completely different divs)

but my mate changed it to a fixed wdith and somehow fixed, and you know the saying, dont need to fix something that aint broke.

PS:i know this is really late after the last post...but thankyou for the swift reply...and i still dont know how we really fixed it.
