I'm currently downloading all of Issue 48. I've glanced through the web pages for the tutorials. I'm sure that once the download is complete and I use all of these resources many of my questions will be answered... which is why I continue to subscribe. You do excellent work.

While I'm waiting for the download to complete, my question has to do with backward compatibility of 3rd party modules (ones that work in 4.9.x) with 5.x.

I understand you can't speak for the multitude of 3rd party vendors but have you run into any significant issues with backward compatibility?

Hello,

I have not done that much testing with 3rd party modules yet in DNN5.x - so far I have not come across problems, but it completely depends on the module developer. Anyone else got any feedback?

I'd recommend making sure that the modules are ready for 5.x.  I have several modules that come in 4.x and 5.x modules.  Read the requirements and, when you have questions, ask!

Going forward, DotNetNuke 5.2 is going to require ASP.NET 3.5, so keep that in mind, too.
