HI All,
On one of my sites (DNN 7.2), I noticed that the Announcements module did not look/work the same as the one on one of my other sites running DNN 7.0. In looking at the Extensions page, I found the version of the Announcements module on the 7.2 site was 4.03 while the version on the DNN 7.0 site is 7.0.
I'm not sure how this happened but I want to upgrade the old Announcements module to the new version. I looked on codeplex and all I see is version 4 of Announcements. I'm kind of confused but is there a way to upgrade the module?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,
If you go to the announcements download view at https://dnnannouncements.codeplex.com/releases/view/27403 you will find on the right hand side that there is a version 7 CTP - That seems to be a mistake.
I would recommend just to use the latest version, which is 4.0.3
Sincerely,
Andy

You can download the module at
http://dnnannouncements.codeplex.com/
(All of the "core" DNN modules are available on Codeplex. You will find many other DNN modules there, as well as on GitHub.)

Thanks for the replies guys,
Yeah, it does look like I have the CTP (v7) installed on my other site. The description of that module sounds like it was updated to use the new DNN 7 DAL schemes etc. but it looks like it never officially went anywhere since 2013 - strange.
I actually like it better than the 4.0.3 version and I even tried to load it on my other site in place of it. Installed fine but I couldn't use it because I couldn't get access to the template definition. In the 7.0 version they moved it to the Edit menu but it's not showing up there on the new installation.
So, I went back to 4.0.3.
Thanks,
Tom
