I am trying to deploy dnn website on live server through IIS.But its not going good.The site asks for installation of database though i have already added the database to the appdata folder.please tell me some way to get rid of this error..

i am planning to create my own DNN site so for that i have checked the price and all for copyright verision of dnn on dotnetnuke.com

but that are very expensive so can you help me how i can go foreword to develope my first site in DNN.

can i downloads the free version and then send that site files and skins to hosting company or what else i can do for this.

The free Community Edition of DotNetNuke is perfectly fine for creating "world class" websites. While there are features that exist only in the Professional Edition, they are all extensions. The CE and PE editions share the same code base and most of the modules.

Unless you are involved in a large, high traffic site, you'll do quite well with the CE.

glad with your answer it means i can use CE for my site if the traffic are not large with the normal functionlities.

and if i need of some functionalities i can use custom module also.

can you suggest me more briefly how to start developing DNN site without extra charges.

You should be able to use CE even if you have a high traffic site.

To develop your site without paying for additional modules, stick with the core DotNetNuke modules. You will also be able to find quite a number of free modules at codeplex.com and other sites.
