Why is it necessary to install the House Menu skin object zip-file as a module (from host login and Module Definitions menu) when moving to stage 2 of the Building a Website project - replacing the Solpart menu with the House Menu?

We did not have to do that when installing the stage-1 VortexMusic skin.

We needed to change from the SolPart menu to the HouseMenu as in part 10 of the tutorial we demonstrate How to create resizable text in a DotNetNuke skin

To do this the DOC type of XHTML transitional is required to be set. - At the time the SolPartMenu had display problems with XHTML transitional DOC Type, so we had to change the menu. - Also, the HouseMenu has performance improvements and means that your page sizes are reduced.

Its also a good introduction to the HouseMenu for future CSS skinning if you wish to go down that route. - For those tutorials make sure you download version 1.3 skin object rather than 1.4 beta as the 2 are slightly different, in later skins, such as the andreas 01 skin we recommend to use 1.4 beta.
