When you have created your skin and place the modules on the design. Is there a way to disable anyone from deleting the module but the content editor can still edit  the infromation in the module.

Hello,

Yes this is how it works, if you create a new security role, for instance named 'editor', assign the editor role to a user account and then assign to a module edit permissions for the 'editor' security role. When the editor user logs in they will only have permission to edit the module, they will not have permission to move or delete the module.

If you are new to setting up security roles and managing users I would suggest you check out the tutorials here:

  • How to Assign a Security Role to a User Account
  • Assigning Security Roles to Pages and Modules

    Hi Lee

We have DNN 4.0.3 installed on our site.  In this version can I assign module edit permission once I have created the new security role.
