I'm linking to a PDF file through the FCK Editor, I do not have have "Track Number of Times This Link Is Clicked" or either of the other two options selected. However, it is still linking to the file using the LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=IE0X4REIggY%3d&tabid=2039. Normally this wouldn't be a problem except that this is a fillable pdf and then when you submit the PDF and it is e-mailed, it names the PDF LinkClick.pdf. Is this a bug or is there some kind of work around for this?

I assume that this is in a Text/HTML module. You can edit the source for the module and replace the LinkClick code with a normal hyperlink. You could also do this in the WYSIWYG view and specify the link as an external URL.

The PDF is a file on my site. Do I still use the same method you're suggesting?

Sure. Just figure out the link to the file, and paste it in.

There has to be a better way to do this. DNN never did this before. Every thing I link to no matter if its a PDF, Image, Page etc all automatically have that LinkClick file path. Before when I would link to a document or image it would actually show the file path of where that file was. (I.e. website/products/documents/filename.pdf)

Hello,

I have just tested this in DNN 4.9 and there is no method for getting rid of linkclick that I can see. I have double checked all of the options available for configuring FCK editor in the web.config and fckconfig.js and cannot see a setting for disabling linkclick.

The options I can see available to you are to find the correct URL of the file and just paste it in as the link, or to use a module such as the documents module.
