Hi,
I need to change some of the text and form field lables in the register form.
The default text:

"Note: Membership to this portal is Public. Once your account information has been submitted, you will be immediately granted access to the portal environment. All fields marked with a red arrow are required."

I need to change this to read something different.

I also need to change the title:

"Preferred User Information"

I also want to change the form field

User Name to Login Name.

Can I do this and how?

You can change this using the Language Editor available under the Languages tab.  You'll have to dig through the various modules and components using the tree view menu on the left to locate the strings that you want to change.  I think that if you look under Admin and then Login or Security or Authentication you will find what you want.  If not, do what I do:  keep looking!

Here's where you go:

Go to:

Admin/Languages

Then Dropdown to "Language Editor"

Then click the "plus" sign next to "Global Resources"

Then Select "Shared Resources" by clicking on it

Then, scroll down to Resource Name: "PublicMembership.Text".  You can enter your changes there.

The Username.Text is there on that page as well towards the bottom.

Not sure about the Title.  Sorry.

I have managed to change the note at the top of the registration page by going to admin/users/app_loc.../manageusers.ascx.

I could not find anything in global resources!

I am still looking for the user name field title and the heading preferred user information. I will keep looking.

I have just tried to change my local settings from US to UK and they dont seemed to have changed. How long does this usualy take? are there any querks with doing this?
