Hello,

Please could you help me with this.

When I try to log in to  two of my websites, I cannot any more on two computers.

You can see here what it does: http://www.imyura.com/loginproblem.wmv

It's not a java script enabling issue since I can login on other dnn websites using theses same computers.

Something with "post back" ??

Thank you for your help

wansen

Hello wansen,

(....)

I have come across this several times, but it is a long time ago since I have experienced it. I have found this to be due to corrupted cookies. If you search on your computer for any cookies related to your domain and delete all of them you should then be able to log back in.

Thanks,

Lee

Hi,
thank you for your quick answer,Lee. You are right about asking the questions in the forum. I will do that in the future.

It seems not being a cookie problem I tried this morning on two computers in the office. On one of them, running XP pro, I have the same problem. On the other, runing XP home, I could log in.
I have problems with the forms of the sites as well. I cannot ad comments to the article even if I have enabled anonymous comments.
Both of the websites where I have this problem are hosted at ihostasp.net and both of are dnn 4.3.2

I tried the other websites, every thing is ok. I asked the contact person by ihostasp.net whether they have changed anything. He said: "...I have check all your sites and they appear to be working well. "

Thanks a lot for your help

I tried on another pc runing XP home, I have the login problem. So it has nothing to do with the OS.
Thanks

Thanks for the login, I was able to login without problems running win xp pro in Firefox and IE6

Did you try deleting your cookies?

I'm not sure what this problem will be then. I have occassionally come across this in earlier versions of DNN and it seemed to be fixed in DNN3.2.2 - I haven't come across the error in quite a while. - The fix was to just delete cookies and then all was fine.

This could be a problem with DNN4.3.1 as it is still in the alpha stage. - You could try upgrading to 4.3.2 - actually I would recommend this anyway as they have fixed a lot of the bugs.

(If you have not upgraded before, check this tutorial:
How to upgrade DotNetNuke from v3.x to v3.2 on a live website
it will give you a lot of pointers that you can use for v4)

Do you have firefox on your computer? - I would also try firefox as I found that IE was more prone to the login problem than Firefox.

The thing is though, even if you can login with firefox if all of your other users start receiving login problems, you can't tell them all just to use firefox!

I would try firefox though as a test, thanks,
