I am encountering problems with some modules which seem to push text outwith the box on the righthand side (e.g. link module).  I am using DNN v3.3.7 and wondered if the modules have been updated since I installed this version or the skin needs to be amended.

I am newbie so I decided to use a free skin from a site www.thinkofdesign.com called beyondcss and the tool to resize text called speerio.  The link to this skin is attached below

http://www.thinkofdesign.com/DotNetNukeSkins/FreeSkins/tabid/54/ctl/ArticleView/mid/490/articleId/46/BeyondCSS.aspx

I have followed their instruction and added the houseofmenu as a module.

I used this skin as I was keen on using a skin without tables but with the search, login, breadcrumb somewhere on the page.  I had a look at you redleaf skin but the breadcrumb and the search wasn't present and I needed to use 3 panes.

Thanks
Peter

The 3.3.7 version of DotNetNuke is relatively old, having been released late in 2006. It's the last version of DotNetNuke to run on ASP.NET 1.x.

If modules are producing content that forces a pane to expand, or that runs outside of the pane, then it's likely that something is wrong with the skin. Try applying one of the skins that comes with DotNetNuke to the page to see if a different skin correct the problem. If it does, you know that the problem lies in the skin.

CSS skins tend to break more easily than table based skins if you add a module into a content pane which is wider than the content pane.

For instance if you add an image using the Text / HTML module that is 500px wide and the content pane is 490px wide you will get problems.

If you want to try out other CSS skins, we also have available these for free download:
