When you say that it doesn't work, do you mean that it returns no results? If that is the case, you need to login as host, go to Schedule tab on the host menu and enabel the SearchEngineScheduler. There is also a tab called Search Admin where you can adjust some of the Search parameters. I would keep the defaults, but know that it is there.

Hi Joe,

Nothing happens, it just show the same page as you were on currently. A search result page doesn't even come up.
(I've checked the schedule tab and search admin - looked ok?)

How can i even get the results page to come up?
Thanking you in advance.

I haven't had that problem. I'd look in the skin file and make sure that search is set up correctly. But, if you are using one of the DotNetNuke skins, you've already done that.

Just to make sure, are you clicking on the search link, or hitting return after entering text in the search box? Is the "Search" link really a link? When you click it, does the browser's activity indicator spin?

Hi Joe,

I've modified the skin slightly but used the same skin for admin. For both, the search doesn't work. I tried hitting entering and click on the button. It seems it's working - the page load bar at the bottom shows it, but when done... it just show you the same page that you were on.

Any other suggestions?
Thank you!

You might try changing the skin for the site to one of the stock DotNetNuke skins. If search works, then you know that the skin is the problem.

sorry guys, some of the posts got deleted when we moved to the new server, here are some of the replies I have in my email:

RE: Search by nguyena
I've tried the stock DNN skins, the same happens, so i don't think it is the skin.
Going back to the Schedule.

Does the following settings look right?
Full class name and assembly: DotNetNuk.Service.Search.SearchEngineSchedule, DOTNETNUKE

Time laspe - 30 minutes
Retry Frequency - 60 minutes
Retain Schedule history - 60
Run on Event - none
Catch up Enabled (not ticked)
Object dependencies - SearchEngine
RUu on Serveres - (blank)

Thank you!
