I have set up a parent portal and several portal aliases with a domain name 'healthdevelopment'. This domain name will change once we are finished with the development. How is this achieved and how do the child portals inherit the new domain name? Do I have to change  the domain name of each child portal?

I have not done this in practice, but I think it will be a simple process:

If you log in as Host go to the Host menu / Portals

Here you will see a list of all of your portals

Click on the edit pencil icon for one of your portals

Scroll to the Bottom

Click on Add New HTTP Alias

Type in the new URL you require - if it's a child portal make sure you enter the full URL with the new domain name - also NOTE: do not include http:// - just enter: www.mynewsite.com/portalname

Repeat this for all of the portals

Navigate to each of the new URLs to check that they are working correctly

Once they are working correctly you can go back to the each portals HTTP settings and delete the original domain name.
