The initial thing I notice when looking at this site is that you have to scroll horizontally to view the page content when viewing the page at a resolution of 1028x768.

I would regard this as bad practice and try to get the content to appear without having to scroll across the page. Scrolling vertically is ok, but horizontally puts you off reading the pages and my initial reaction was to just close the window rather than take the time to read the text.

You should also consider all of the users out there that are still using 800x600 resolution and try to make your pages compatible with that resolution as there are still many users that are using 800x600.

So does one not use the right pain in DNN?  I looked at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/ & see they use the right pain.  At http://www.quotes4.biz/HomeDemo/tabid/77/Default.aspx I moved the right pane info to the left pain.

IN DNN where can you control the width of of Text/html as I can not see anyplaces that allows such control.  Does one have to use XML/XLS to control this?

Thanks for the comments & I do want to understand this more.

You can use the right pane, it just depends on the amount of content you place in the main and left panes.

For instance, have a look at the Left pane and try to find which module is causing the width to be so wide.

I suspect it is the links module that you have placed at the top left - with the text "(Muestra porta en espanol) Sign in Spanish Sign in Spanish"

Try to reduce the amount of text you have used for the link.

    - You may find that if you use the Text / HTML module and create links that it will allow the link to be displayed over several lines.

The skin itself states how wide each pane is - But there are times where a module will override the default width.

For instance if the width is 50pixels and you place a line of text without any spaces that is more than 50pixels it will force the left pane to grow to accomodate the wide text.

Something else to consider is do you really need to display all of the printer icons on each of the modules? - They are distracting, I would remove all of them apart from the main text.
