    The packages they offer:

    Personal Plan:  $9.95/mo
    Professional Plan:  $19.95/mo
    Business Plan:  $29.95/mo

    Background

EPHost is located in San Diego, CA. and is run by Joe Rebis.  They offer a number of hosting and web service solutions including DNN installation and support.  They use the Helm Control Panel as their front-end tool for web hosting customers.

I initially started out a few years back (2004 perhaps) with Frankland Hosting run by Clinton Frankland (out of Florida I believe), but they have since merged.  They did an excellent job transitioning and their service is both speedy and personal.  I use them to host sites for all of my clients and they, too, have been happy.

I am routinely impressed with the service, the performance, and the value.  Take a look at their plans and I think you'll find them competitve in terms of storage, bandwidth (up/down), etc.

Finally, I did run with GoDaddy for a while and I found them to be quite rigid.  I typically, like to run a three stage dev-test-prod implementation cycle with my clients and this is very difficult with a host like GoDaddy.  Frankland/EPHost made this very easy for me by providing need migration services at a nominal cost.

    Bottom line:

I highly recommend EPHost and I plan on continuing and expanding my business with them.

I tried to use them. They have an administrator who seems familiar with DNN and web development in general. However, they dont have any backup feature for uploading databases. They say that allowing users access to a backup feature is a security risk (for them I guess). Anyway, they want people to upload using DTS or SSIS, with which I am not familiar. DTS is built into SQL server 2000, but Im using 2005. The SSIS process is something that is built into the full version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005, however, they dont provide much help in figuring it out. I spent about half a day looking around online and, even going to the bookstore trying to find something that would explain the process. I couldnt find it, even though Im guessing that its not too difficult, and useful to know. I just cancelled my account, ending my brief experience witht them. For all I know, SSIS is the best thing since sliced bread, and if they or ever put up or find some decent instructions on how to use it, they may turn out to be a great host.... until then... ask explicitly about how you will manage your database before signing up with them.

I have been using EPHOST for about a year. Like many others I was originally using Frankland Hosting. I was sad to see Clinton merge as he was always very helpful and available, even when I was an extreme novice. When I first learned of the change I called Joe Rebis and had a discussion about EPHOST's continued support of DNN as well as their other general policies etc. Joe has always been available and helpful. I would give him and his staff a 5 star rating any day! If you are looking for a excellent DNN host where services gets done quickly and without having to be bounced around between 15 different people choose EPHOST. I host about 20 client sites and I am very happy!

I have been using EPHOST for almost 8 years (could that be right?) and consistently refer all my friends and clients to them. It's so nice to never have to think about hosting, worry about email, etc... Joe Rebis and the team over at EPHOST are awesome. I can't speak any higher of their professionalism, their amazing prices, and their top-notch service.

I wish all the other companies that I deal with on a daily basis had 1/4 of the skill and professionalism that EPHOST does.

Contact them. You won't be sorry.
