I am running v5.0 and can't seem to locate the MESSAGE_PORTAL_PRIVACY.text and MESSAGE_PORTAL_TERMS.text file in the language editor. |

I followed this path to edit the terms and Privacy areas and now I have the entire text listed twice. First what I entered and the default test as well. How do I get rid of the default text. I am running dnn 2.02.02 community edition.

Is it possible that you've somehow added a second copy of the module to each of the pages?
Do determine that, look at the pages in Edit mode. Do you see two modules? If you do, delete the one that you don't want.

That is the normal appearance of the Language Editor page. The editing box is on the left. The right display is the default value for the text.

In Admin>languages>Local Resources I do see Prviacy.ascx under Portal>Local Resources and under Skins>LocalResources. Same thing with Terms.ascx. Could that be where the duplication is coming from? See print screen

No. You need to look at the Privacy.aspx page itself, and see where the second instance is coming from. Could you look at that page in Edit mode and see if there are multiple modules?

OK........... Here is what I did. Created my own Privacy and Terms pages, made links to them in my custom footer section, edited the skin.css file to make the copyright statement centered and set the original privacy and terms tokens to display: none; Here is the result. http://mailhandling.com.dnnmax.com/...actUs.aspxMarion |

Clicking the Privacy link gives:
A critical error has
occurred. You
have been redirected to this default Login Page because the Login Page
set for this website does not contain a valid DotNetNuke Account Login
module, or the permissions have not been set correctly.
You have some permissions and login module issues.

Thank you. I made the needed adjustments on all counts. I was using a Coding Staff module for login and now replaced it with the default module. Also checked the viewing permissions for my new Privacy and Terms pages.
