    Hi Again.

    Playing on with this....
I downloaded and tried new versions of the Modules - at no luck.

I then downloaded and upgraded DNN to 05.04.04 (2)
During the upgrade / running the install, I got error on the failing modules??

(The DigFlash module was in the Extensions list, but not in the page tool bars. Thus the first re-installations where "Repair Installations".

I now deleted the Module from the extension list and did a fresh install - and have the same error.

    Always someting playing up.

    Help !!!!

There should be logs for the install process that give more details on the errors.  Explore in /providers/dataproviders/sqldataprovider to see if you can find something useful in debugging.

Thanks for your prompt reply Joe.
I tried the logfile yesterday but had problem saving current (today's) file.
It saves the logfile to my hard drive but it's empty.) (Resellers Choice.)

So here's yesterdays file, I purposely attempted a couple if module installs in the end of the day.

    Cheers

    Olle.....

PS Yesterday I was unable to download the Logfile.
Today I'm unable to upload it here.
(It was 360kb so I deleted down to 295kb but obviously not enough. Will send in E-mail instead.)

In email I suggested that you manually install one of the modules that failed.  See if errors are reported.

    Thanks Joe!!

I tried different install with the same problem, even installing existing modules supplied by default failed.

    I ended up deleting all files in wwwroot, and the database - and then run a new "Application Install in the C panel. I ended up with the following error;

    00:00:43.140 - Installing Optional Packages:
00:00:43.140 - Creating Portal: My Website
00:00:49.561 - Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    00:00:49.561 - Portal failed to install:Error!
    Installation Complete

    After contacting Resellers Choice I got the following reply;

The DNN appears to be installed correctly, are you still having trouble with this install?
If so, do you just want us to manually install this for you?

    Thanks

So I proceeded with installations of Modules, Skins and user account. And everything looked great.

UNTIL THE SITE GOT STUCK IN SOME ADMINISTRATOR MODE???

    Check it here; http://www.mepstarshop.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.mepstarshop.com/

I gave the following to Resellers Tech Support, and might need to start all over again....

Everything seemed to install alright, and I added some users, skins and modules.

Now suddenly it seemed to have got stuck in some administrator mode?!?!?
No admin or host menu, but the top toolbar are there permanently and are working.

    Please check here; http://www.mepstarshop.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.mepstarshop.com/

If you see the top toolbar just as visitor, - Please reinstall the DNN manually.

    THANKS!!

Thanks Joe - yes it's up and running again

I managed to create all kinds of problems - have you seen this one before.

The toolbar was permanently there, and anyone visiting the site could add modules. There where however no menu's, no "Admin", "Host" or module menu's.

Anyway, Resellers did try a manual install and didn't get the error, and it have been working since.

Guess, as is often the case, we're happy it works even if we didn't get all the answers.

    Have a great day!!!
