I have a schedule for a 10 day long event I need to publish on my DNN site and I'd like to show in the calendar view of the events module. However, as the event is several months away and the calendar view by default shows the current month, it's a bit confusing to users.

Is there any way to specify a start date on the calendar view so that I can set it to show the month my event will occur in?

"You can include a start date in the url to a page, to have the Month or Week views start from that month http://mysite.com/calendar.aspx?eve...=20100529. Date is accepted in the format yyyyMMdd (or a valid date format for your current culture)."

But ... I haven't gotten it to work on my test system ...

I asked about the feature over on the Events Module's forum at DotNetNuke.com.  The feature, while documented, is a feature of 5.1.0 which has not been released yet.

I haven't been able to get this method to work either.

Is there another event / schedule module that you've heard of that does have this feature?
    Thanks.

This feature is working in the Event 5.1.0 Beta that was released today.

The keyword has changed, so you should append something like ?eventdate=20100715 to the URL.

In correspondence with Roger Selwyn of the Events Module team, he warns that "eventdate" will change to "selecteddate" in the next release.  So, just keep an eye on that.
