I am attempting to build an order form that subtotals a section that is based on the 'TotalByQuan y' in the #20 demo (provided by datasprings). Meaning - there are 3 Total by Quan ies (A, B, C); A = small shirt; B = med shirt; C = large shirt; 1st desired result - user to enter amount for A or B or C at a fixed cost of $9. A subtotal will aggregate the amounts for A, B, and C. A = 1, B = 5, C = 2: total due = $80 This seems simple enough, but in demo #20 there are many other examples going on and while I have attempted to eliminate the other non-required pieces it still isn't working. In addition, there appears to be additional configuration required that is not explained in the demonstration provided by datasprings. If this has been covered in a different post I have overlooked I appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

    Hello,

This is not something I have explored yet, but as it happens I am going to be building a form for a project this week that requires sums. I would suggesting asking in the DataSprings forum, if you come across any tips, please let us know as this will be very useful in a few days time!

    Thanks,

Thanks for the feedback. I will let you know what I find and I have posted on the DS forum. So far it appears I will have to contract premium support to get a resolution, minimum of 6 hours. Seems a bit excessive to explain/revamp a demo provided on their site.

But hey - if everyone gave good explanations of how to use their tools you would have to pickup a hobby or two, wouldn't you?

I look forward to hearing your thorough explanations and want to restate the obvious - that's why what you do is so great and an amazing value!

There are some nice examples on the Data Springs site.  The more complicated demos do require some study, though.
