Is it possible to give a user permission to add and delete users, change pw's etc. without giving them full Admin rights? Thanks in advance Monte

In DotNetNuke 5.x, you have control of permissions on the Admin and Host pages. So, you can grant permissions to the User Accounts page to people other than administrators.

You also have the ability to add the Users and Accounts module to other pages, including custom pages.

Ok, Thanks for the info. I was able to make those changes, Now...I want this user to be able to add new users and delete other users but I do not want them to have permissions to the User Settings or Profile Properties. Is this possible?

I don't believe that's possible. I'd love to learn that I'm wrong.

Ummm...too bad. That seems like a no-brainer for this module.

Well, thinking about it ... it would not be too big of a challenge to take the module, remove the features that you don't want, and create a limited Users and Accounts module. I'd recommend creating a second module as that won't compromise anything that exists in DotNetNuke.

Does that involve editing the source code? May not be too big of a challenge to you but that is something I need to avoid

No, it would not involve editing the source code. But ... it would involve taking parts of the source code and creating a separate module.

Could I just delete the parts that refer to User Settings and Profile Properties and save it with a different name and that would work as anew module?

It would be pretty close to that, yes. You would remove the controls that provide the functions that you don't want, and you would need to removed that parts of the remaining code that references what you remove. You'll also want to rename some things internally to separate the new module from the old one. Mind you, I haven't looked at the code, so consider this a rough outline of the process. If you aren't a programmer and haven't worked with DotNetNuke's code, it would help to have someone who is.
