My first install using DNN 3.1.1 hasn't worked, at least not fully. They were helpful runnubg the scripts, etc, but the email component doesn't work. Something in aspnet_Membership. The initial install created a bunch of DB_User owned tables and SPs. So some of the calls are wrong.

They are helpful in recovering the DB, renamind all owners to dbo (that caused the whole site to fail), etc. But definitely are not DNN savvy.

If I can get them over that hurdle, I will definitely recommend them. No phone support, but everything else is good to very good.

The first problem was mine. My developer friend suggested I use my DB User as owner in the web.config in the end data section. This caused the problems noted above.

I'm following JodoHost's install procedure and the DNN Install Guide, and it has come up fine.

I haven't got the Newsletter section fully working yet. I can add a List, and that works. I've put in some test Users, and selected Registered Users, but the emails only go to my admin address.

Got it all sorted out. For some reason, putting the mail server address in the Host Settings causes the system to do funny things. Leave it blank and all works fine.

JodoHost service is good, although performance with DNN is not the fastest. Still better than many. Their email support is decent. For DNN, I'd recommend ResllerChoice first. I do prefer JodoHost's process of adding email accounts, but how often do you do that?

I have found that JodoHost in general offers a good value for money service. But as this is my first DNN site I have nothing to compare it with. The support they offer is good.

    Hello

I had a few major problems with my site some time ago exactly who's fault it was I am not 100% certain.

However, I have found that the support given by Jodohost is excellent, they go out of their way to help. Although I have to say I have found that I must be very specific with questions or requests, as the language difference occassionally means that not everything is understood as intended. Consequenlty things get a bit confused which could lead to unnecessary problems.

I have appreciate all the help that they have given, which has been a lot.

    Regards
    Lynn

    Hello

Jodohost support and customer service is excellent. It is a pity that their servers (Resellers Shared Hosting Package) are not.  But you cannot expect supperior server services, for bargain basement prices.
