I've searched, searched, and searched some more. Does anyone know of a way to change the primary domain in dotnetnuke?

For example.

You start a website and install it on the domain: mywebsite1.com
Then you create a domain alias called: mywebsite2.com

You add that alias under ADMIN in dotnetnuke.

Is it possible to later change the primary domain to mywebsite2.com, and make mywebsite1.com the alias?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Enter the website with the second domain alias, delete the first, then remove from IIS/DNS/Firewall, etc

Missed the change order spec, you should be able to reorder. What version of DNN do you use?

DNN 5

I'm not sure I truly understand your process, dealing with IIS.

Since you want to keep the aliases, but have them in different order: 1. First login to the site using alias "B" 2. Delete alias "A" clicking the red x. 3. While still using the "B" alias, add alias "C" with the same info alias "A". As long as Alias A and B show up as host header in the IIS site, you should not have problems.

In my hosting provider settings I have two domains listed.

Domain A
- Domain B as alias

In dotnetnuke I have the two domains listed in the same manner.

I want to change it to where domain B is the ONLY domain and delete Domain A completely from the hosting provider and dotnetnuke.
Is this something my hosting provider needs to help me with? Dealing with IIS? etc?

Thank you for your help.

If you delete domain A from the portalalias table, then DotNetNuke will quit servicing requests for that domain.

You should probably also configure IIS to do something with requests for the domain that you are removing.  Also consider DNS implications.
