    Hi evryone,

My machine ip address is 192.168.2.222

The name of my default directory is dnnroot.

I can browse my portal remotely by typing http://192.168.2.222/dnnroot/default.aspx

I want to add more portals using potals option under Host option. Could you please explain me how to add more potals ? pls give me an step by step example.

    Thanks

When adding a portal, you have 2 options:

Child - which will be: www.example.com/childname

    or Parent - www.a_new_domain_name.com

    So, log in as Host
Go to Host menu / portals
    Click "Add new portal"
Select parent or child - we will select child in this example
to the end of the portal alias name add the name of your child portal eg.
    localhost/DNN435_Tutorials/test_child
    enter title etc.
Template select DotNetNuke to load up the standard view when you first install
    Security Settings, add details
    Click on create portal

That's all there is to it.

If you create a parent portal, you will need to point the parent domain name to your DNN installation in order for DotNetNuke to pick it up.
