Hi, before the arrival of the new DNN5 version I've used for my multilanguage portals the free Locopon's DSLocalizator Package with great results and possibility of detailed localization control. Now with the new DNN5 version it seems no more fully compatible and Locopon does not seem to want to release an update soon. I think that could be a good thing, publish a tutorial about localization with the best way to forward to obtain a full localized DNN web site. Thanks!

    Hello,

No not yet, the first thing we are covering is the new features of DNN5, such as the new admin functions in the menu, skinning etc. Hopefully by that time there may be some more defined info on the best way to localize in DNN5.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

we would love to have a good tutorial on DNN Localization (5.6.1+). It would also be very nice to have a tutorial on how to localize third party modules as well.

    Is this still in progress?

Any estimate on when this might be available?

    Thanks,
    Chris

You have to login to be able to subscribe to a thread.

For localization, look for the website of the German DotNetNuke User Group. They have, I think, a fair amount of information.

As for localizing third party modules, it's probably best to check with each of the developers for their inputs.

Basically, though, you need to create a set of resource files for each module and each language. You can do this through the Language Editor, in which case you won't have to worry about file naming conventions.
