Hi

I need to know how I could add Jquery functionalities to the contents inside a Text/HTML module. I've gone through most of the forums over the last couple of days and exhausted myself trying almost everything.

I'm using DNN v5.0.1, which has Jquery I guess. But I've no idea how I can implement it inside Text/HTML module's content. I tried adding the the script references along with the content to no avail. I read in many places people just added their [script removed]

I even tried the approach listed here (click on link), but even though it makes sense, it doesn't work.

I really need to integrate Jquery as my client needs it badly. While going through Accidental Geek's blog (link), he lists out the need to add the following code: DotNetNuke.Framework.jQuery.RequestRegistration() to any module if it needs Jquery.

How do I do that with Text/HTML module? Plz note that I'm relatively new to DNN.

Thanks,

Sunu Sasidharan

Look for Will Strohl's blog at dnnblogs.com. He has a couple of posts in the last month or two about jQuery.

Interesting. I recently was just playing around with JQuery, but I inserted the javascript in the Default.aspx page. I used it to access an aspx page that would use a key from the javascript to pull a definition from a glossary (in theory from a database). It actually worked fine when I accessed the Default.aspx page with the exact url; however, as soon as I clicked the "HOME" button, it had trouble accessing the aspx page (because of how the URL redirect thing works I guess...).

If you make any progress along this topic, please keep me updated.

Thanks.
