Hi All not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, but here it goes. I have a site created with "something else" I want to "port" this site into the DNN framework. I could use some suggestions on Modules and such.

    http://www.mytownplaza.com

Here is how the site is intended to work. People looking for a plaza/Mini Mall/strip mall etc go to mytownplaza They pick the state --> city  --> county and a list of shopping plaza's appears. They pick the plaza and the list of stores in the plaza appears. If the store owner subscribed to service, than when someone click on the store link it will open with store information. I would even like to allow the store owner to manage there own space.

Secondarily, as the clients drill down the menu I would like different adds to appear so that I can have Local advertising

    Example:
Add space for initial "Home" Page will be premium --> next when they click on a state the add can change --> click on county add changes again and so on.  This way if a local mom and pop store only wants to advertise to people in that city, they don't have to pay advertising rate for the state.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I don't think you will find a pre-built module to buy that will solve all of these requirements, it looks like it would need to be a custom module. Having said this you should have a look at OWS by R2i as it maybe able to cover all of your needs without getting into module development.

Checkout an interview we did here which will give you an idea of how flexible it is:

Anyone looking at this sort of solution should also look at DotNetMushroom and Xmod. The quite new module that permits incorporating Razor scripts might also be of interest.
