I am hosting with Re-Invent Hosting and have 875 MB Server Space and 175 MB Database space.

I’m currently use less that 100MB Server space and 135 MB database space.

Is it normal that DNN is “eating Database space??

When I’m looking at alternative hosting I find it quite hard to find database space displayed in specifications.

On this particular hosting I have 5 pointed domains on individual portals, and 6 sub-domains on individual portals. Consequently I can have 50 domains on a descent hosting – problem is that Resellers Choice want $80.00 per month – and Hosting for life wants $1.25 per domain above eight.

How does other small web developer solve this problem?

(We often run temporary "landing page" style sites, very small and short lived.)

    Cheers

    Olle..

If you have 50 domains, you may be better off buying a dedicated or virtual server. Fasthosts do a dual-core server for £50 / month. With the new devalued GBP that's around $1.50 per domain!

DNN uses a fair amount of database space as all the content is stored in the database. However, you need to make sure that the database is not full of old log files as this can rapidly increase the size of your DotNetNuke database.

For further information on this have a look at this tutorial:
