Hi,
I've used control in my site and I've set the UK time in my site. It shows the Uk time normally but when any user logs in to the site at that time different times are shown.  How can I set the same time for each user.  I know that for each user different time it shows.  Is there any process to make the time same for every user.

I've used the control in the following maner;
<dnn:CURRENTDATE runat="server" DateFormat="dd-MM-yyyy  hh:mm" CssClass="log" id="dnnCURRENTDATE" />

Thanks.

When a user is created, they also can adjust their timezone in the user profile. So, check three things: the server's time, the site's time (an Admin setting) and the user's setting.

When not logged in, the time shown should be the site's setting. When logged in, the time shown should be the user's time zone, assuming that the site's time is correct.

Actually, my colleague who posted the original message was not quite accurate in what we are trying to achieve.  In fact, we are currently displaying on the site the time from the user profile timezone.

We really want to display the UK time on the site regardless of the timezone of the user.  We cannot use the server time because the site is hosted in Canada.  So, our best option seems to be the 'site' time that you mention, which I believe is the timezone associated with the 'admin' user?

If that is the case, is there a tag we can use so that this time is always displayed, regardless of the timezone of the user?

I think that you can set the Host time zone to your choice, regardless of the host machine. And you can set the Admin time zone.

I assume (i.e. haven't checked) that new users get either the host or the site time zone. So, you can make the time zone not visible in the profile, so users won't be able to change it.

I guess that disabling the registree's ability to set the timezone is one option.  However, in the future development of the site we may wish to have their 'real' time available for other purposes.

I would prefer to simply display either the host time or the admin time.  Is this possible?

If you want to use something like the skin object that shows time, you cant do that as the CURRENTDATE skin object displays objUserTime.CurrentUserTime.

You could easily take this code as a prototype and either modify it to return another time (I'd use an attribute to determine which time is returned) or just create another skin object, CURRENTSERVERTIME or something, to do what you want done.

If you aren't a programmer, this shouldn't cost you much ... it's certainly less than a day's work for someone who knows what they are doing.
