Thanks Tony,

I think this thread is one that the DNN corp should definitely see. It's great for companies like yours, who can provide the proper service but not so good for the DNN family in whole. Maybe they should have a DNN hosting panel or advisory group to help mitigate these types of issues. Ultimately, if there are less and less hosters willing to provide DNN as an auto install option it's going to hurt all of us.

Btw, I just want to go on record to say that since I've been at powerdnn I've been quite happy. I think that the experience that you or other DNN hosters can provide to the DNN core team can only help the adoption of DNN across the board as well as help companies like yours in the long run.

I guess I am one of the ones they are getting rid of, they migrated my site a week ago and they are still down.
I have pre-paid for a year in advance...how can they do this to customers? I have already moved a couple critical sites to PowerDNN but the cost is quite high.

If they just would have told us that they didn't want our accounts and gave us a period of time to move that would have been fine, to do this is just ignorant and has caused a lot of stress and wasted time.

And, why all these users with 1 post saying how good they are? I thought this was a private forum?

I originally singed up at Apollo Hosting which is WH4L's sister company. I called to speak to a sales rep and explained to her that I wanted a hosting account that would support DNN. After several failed attempts at deploying DNN via the control panel I logged an issue which came back as please contact billing. I contacted billing and discovered that I needed to purchase an additional database (MSQL) in order to run this.........OK, I thought I was pretty clear on what I wanted to do when I originally contacted sales! So I agreed to purchase the db so that I could achieve what I wanted to do in the first place and that was to deploy DNN. I was transferred from Apollo to WH4L and spoke to a sales rep who educated me on the different plans. He canceled my old account and established a new and more expensive account for me to run DNN on. This happened on Friday 10/29 around noon.

I got off the phone logged into my control panel and deployed the application............no luck! I kept getting an error 404 message stating the install.aspx file could not be found. I am guessing the script didnt work. So I called support which they answered fairly quickly, they were able to reproduce the issue but could not resolve it. The technician had to escalate this. Saturday morning I received a communication from tech support they needed to send this to another department for analysis. Here it is Monday and I have not received another word. 4 Days and I still cannot deploy, install and or use DNN using WH4L.

After I complete this response I am canceling my account and moving it elsewhere. I have spent a total of 4 weeks dealing with this hosting company trying to deploy 1 instance of DNN.

I moved 12 sites away from them. Absolutely the worst company to deal with. Technicians never did fix any of my issues for more than a few days, and when they did DNN ran so slow that it often timed out on page loads.
