Hi,

I am working with DNN 4.5.5 version,as per my requirement I need a module from where the user can upload photos/video/audio file and can share with different users.

Is there any module with that feature available for DNN 4.5.5 version, so that i can integrate with my existing application, instead developing a new module.

Please help me with this, this is pretty urgent.

Thanks
Kishore

You might want to take a look at MyProfile. It is now owned by ActiveModules.

I recommend PowerDNN for DotNetNuke Hosting.

I was working on this all the day and finally I got it , here is the solution:

You must create a descendant class from EditControl supporting upload operation.

Because of user profile control is AJAX compatible, you have to create an alternative control to upload file to server. Standard FileUpload WebControl will not work.

In dnn database you have to create a row in table: "dnn_Lists" in order to create the new data type.

My solution was here:

You can freely download FileUploadEditControl and GMailUpload webcontrol

GMailUpload webcontrol is for supporting upload over ajax enviroment.

Hope this work

Could you explain how you setup the FileUploadEditControl.vb with GMailUpload.dll? I get the following "x" after setting up the control in the profile property editor. For some reason the control is only rendering in view mode. In your screen shots it only shows the rendering in view mode but not the edit mode. Could you post a screen shot of the control rendered in edit mode?

Hi

The control is rendering in edit mode, you have to click over the image in order to change it, but here is the issue that I forgot to explain in the post:

Is important to place the files "Upload.aspx.cs" and "Upload.aspx.cs" in the root directory of Dnn installation, These files can be found in folder TestWebApp in GmailUpload.ZIP

Good look.
Israel.
